Tony is a Cuban-American Metals trader. One sunny morning, while fishing off Key West-Florida, he finds the wreck of a makeshift raft floating close to the beach. The rafters names were carved on the wood of the boat (Pablo and Mariana). Tony travels to Cuba to find the Family of the rafters to tell them what he had found. This journey also becomes a discovery of his own Cuban roots. Tony finds the family and, shocked and surprised, finds the beautiful Mariana whom he presumed had died at sea, and she awakens in him his true destiny.

Terrible Movie, 19 October 2005
Author: Cristina Granada from Honduras
Thank You Enrique Pinti for not forcing me to leave the theater and demand my money back. This was really a terrible movie where the director though that showing the awe-inspiring scenery that Cuba has to offer would be enough for people to think they were watching a good film.
Although it must be very tough for directors nowadays, viewers are more demanding, regardless of whether the movie cost $1 million to make or $1 thousand.
The acting is so bad that it is one of those types of movies that make you feel sorry for the actors to the point where you want to look away from the screen and make believe you never even watched the film.
The love story is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong...I do believe in love at first sight, but this is a bit much. Watch it if you must because we are all entitled to our opinions but it is highly probable that by the time you see the third Cuban sunrise you will be running for the nearest exit!
